Her primary focus will be on developing innovative strategies that enhance access to education, optimize the learning process, enrich student life, and boost retention and graduation rates.
A Distinguished Career
Ms. Joyner comes to UHD from Arizona State University, where she currently holds the position of Dean of Students. With over 16 years of experience in health and well-being, student engagement, and student conduct across both public and private universities, Ms. Joyner brings a unique perspective to her new role. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to the holistic well-being of underrepresented populations, with a strong emphasis on affinity building, engagement, and accessibility.
Her academic credentials are equally impressive, holding a Master of Arts degree in Community Health and a Bachelor of Science in Health Education. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate at the University of Southern California, conducting research in predictive analysis and early intervention—a testament to her dedication to improving the educational experience for all students.
